Freedom still in progress

This week I had a few nice productive days. You know that, in the morning you go sit in front of your sewing machine and a some point you realize you’re hungry. And that’s right because it’s already half past two. So, the top of Freedom is ready now. It’s crooked and curved but that sticks to the feeling I have with the word freedom. The breakdown printing fabric is used in the centre. The quilting will be a combination of machine embroidery and hand quilting. It’s the first time ever I will quilt by hand. I guess it will be huge stitches!

It really does have a sense of freedom about it. I think that big stitches ill add to that feeling as well.

I love the design of this one, the way the curves draw me across the quilt, and how you repeat parts on different sections. So well done.
the hand stitches will add a lot more and it already looks done.

This looks great Sandra - love your breakdown fabric & the way you've used it with the bright colours in your quilt.
