Quilt and patchwork days Rijswijk - continued

De quilt die ik ingestuurd had naar de Bernina wedstrijd heeft een prijs gewonnen, de 1e prijs nog wel. In eerste instantie schaamde ik me een beetje dat ik hem had ingestuurd voor de categorie Beginners. Maar volgens Bernina ben je beginner als je nooit eerder iets ingestuurd hebt voor en wedstrijd en nog niet zo lang quilt. Dat klopte dus wel. Tijdens de quilt en patchwork dagen is er ook een tentoonstelling van de Belgische groep Q.Art en de expositie van ‘ Een tuin vol hartstocht’, resultaten van een internationale quiltwedstrijd, uitgeschreven door de 13e Carrefour Européen du Patchwork in Val d’Argent, Frankrijk.
Hier hingen echt supermooie quilts bij. Toen ik een rondje bij deze quilts gemaakt had vond ik mezelf ook wel weer een beginner! Toch ben ik wel trots op mezelf.

The quilt that I send to the Bernina competition during the Quilt and Patchwork days in Rijswijk has won a price, a first price. At first I was a bit ashamed that I send in for the category Beginner. But according to Bernina one is a beginner when you never took part of a competition and you’re not quilting very long. That’s correct, so OK. During the show there also exhibitions of the Belgian group Q.Art and the results of an international quilt competition "A garden passionately" of the 13e Carrefour Européen du Patchwork in Val d’Argent, France. There where astonishing beautiful quilts. Walking around I thought “yes, I am just a beginner’. I am proud of myself after all!
