All goods things come to an end

En toen was het weer voorbij, de vakantie. Aan de ene kant jammer maar aan de andere kant ook wel weer lekker om naar huis te gaan. Ik had mijn mandala werkje meegenomen maar heb er helemaal niets aan gedaan. Met een temperatuur van over de 30 graden stond het zweet me al in de handen als ik alleen al maar aan de stof dacht. We hebben 3 landen aangedaan. Eerst een weekje in de buurt van Venetië. Natuurlijk ook naar Venetië geweest. Echt een prachtige romantische stad. Veel glaswerk en maskers, daar staan ze tenslotte bekend om daar, en vreselijk toeristisch maar met genoeg rustige straatjes en kanaaltjes om een paar dagen te dwalen. Daarna door naar Kroatië. Woeste kusten, prachtige zee en blauwe luchten. De vakantie afgesloten in Slovenië. Een heerlijk rustig land met vriendelijke mensen. Nu ligt er nog een was of 8 te wachten maar jeuken mijn vingers om weer lekker achter de naaimachine te gaan.

And then they where over, the holidays. On the one hand a pity but on the other it’s nice to go home again. My mandala project travelled with me but I haven’t touched it at all. With a temperature of over 30 degrees my hands where already sweaty by the thought of the fabric.
We visited 3 countries. First we stayed near Venice for a week. Of course we visited Venice. A really beautiful and romantic city. A lot of glass objects and a lot of masks, that's where they are known of, and very touristic but with enough quiet streets and canals to wander around.
After Italy a week in Croatia. Rough coasts, beautiful see and blue skies. Finally we stayed in Slovenia for another week. Quiet country with very friendly people.
Now there are 8 loads of washing waiting for me but I'm itching to get to the sewing machine in stead.
