Yes, it's becoming a mandala

De mandala is weer een tikje verder. De vorm is nu een stuk beter te zien dan bij de vorige, expres onduidelijk gefotografeerde, versie. Het binnenvlak is wol met zijde gepunchd op mul.
Daaroverheen losse blaadjes en allerlei geborduurde stukjes. De buitenrand is gedeeltelijk doorgestikt, namelijk het deel dat open blijft staan. De rest moet nog.

The mandala is going ahead. The shape is much better to recognize than in the last (deliberately photographed vague) version. The inside is consists of wool with silk embellished on netting. On top of that some small leafs and embroidery. The inside of the outside border is partly quilted.

Sandra ik vind het nu al prachtig. En dan is het nog niet eens af... Hoe doe je het toch! Ik ben onder de indruk. Zelf ben ik nog niet eens begonnen. Ik wil eerst mijn werk voor exquisite corps textiles afmaken, zodat ik dat nog voor onze vakantie kan opsturen.

Oh wow! I just now looked at the top photo more closely...had skipped to enlarging the second photo first. I love what you have done with these petals, the sewing designs on them folded back to reveal the green center part. Wow, wow, wow...a big flowering vegetable look to it...so beautiful and beautifully done.
