De tweede klaproos quilt weer opgepakt. Het doorstikken is aardig klaar. Misschien de klaproos bloembladeren nog een beetje aanzetten met metallic garen. De stengels van de klaprozen zijn leidraad geweest bij het quilten. Daar waar de klaproos een duidelijke stengel had heb ik de stengels tot in de stof eronder doorgestikt en de stelen met verf ingekleurd. Dat vind ik zelf wel geslaagd. De rest van het doorstikwerk is ook in ‘stengelvorm’.
I resumed my second poppy quilt. The quilting is almost ready. Maybe I will accentuate the poppy petals a bit with metallic thread. The stems where leading in the quilting. Where the flower had a clear stem I sewed the stem right through in the next piece of fabric. I painted the stems with metallic paint. I like that part. The rest of the quilting is done in stem shapes as well.
