Process in stress

Ondertussen maar eens echt haast aan het maken. Haastige spoed is zelden goed maar tot nu toe valt het mee. Meestal ben ik van het soort die dan nog even snel een draadje afknipt en dan vervolgens een gigantische knip midden in een quilt geeft. Gelukkig zijn dat soort drama’s uitgebleven. Na een hoop gepuzzel met alle lapjes die tussen de foto’s moeten komen zit de top nu in elkaar. Als het goed hij dit weekend zelfs gequilt. Dan moet mijn vilten constructie nog een plekje krijgen. Ben er nog niet helemaal uit. Maar, ik geloof dat ik het allemaal wel op tijd ga redden. Misschien heb ik wel gewoon een beetje stress nodig. Af en toe. Voorlopig het laatste detail dat ik ga geven. Straks mogen eerst mijn mede cursisten het werk bewonderen.

I am making high speed now. As they say haste makes waste, but up until now everything goes quit well. Most of the time I am de kind of person who cuts off that last piece of thread and simultaneously cuts right in the middle of the quilt. Fortunately I didn’t run into such dramas. After a lot of puzzling with all of the fabric that should fit with the photos the top is finished now. I think this weekend the quilting will be done as well. Next step is to find a place for my felt construction. I don’t know what to do with that yet. But, I think I will manager to finish it all in time. Maybe I just need a little bit of stress. Sometimes. This will be the last sneak preview. My fellow course members will be the first to see the finished work.
